#mydigitalmaker Session with 3SCSR students

On the 5th of December, a collaboration between Faculty of Computing and The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC) had organized a session with all the third-year students of fc students. The talk is on the upcoming fourth industrial revolution (4th I. R. ) and #mydigitalmaker introduction session.

#mydigitalmaker is a joint public-private-academia initiative to transform Malaysian youth from digital users to producers in the digital economy. This includes skills such as coding, app development, 3D printing, robotics, embedded programming and data analytics; all of which will ultimately help to strengthen problem solving and creativity amongst our future generation.

For internships or securing a job after graduation, #mydigitalmaker also provides with assistance in connecting and engaging with partner digital tech companies. This will ensure students will be getting the right exposure needed through working experience with the right companies.

The future will be based on innovation and MDEC believe that being ahead of the technology is a way in securing a better future. The main focus of the technology industry will be Big Data Analytics (BDA), the Internet of Things (IoT), E-Commerce, Cybersecurity and Data Centre & Cloud. By focusing on these 5 main areas, the 4th I. R. would be beneficial and a great platform for all students.

We would like to thank Miss Chloe Chan, the representative of MDEC for the wonderful sharing and Encik Taha for organizing the session for everyone involved.
