AR with Authoring tools ENTiTi Creator<\/h1>\n

The first screen shown when starting the WakingApp AR Studio is the Login screen.
\nUsage of the Creator is bound to an active WakingApp developer account.
\nAfter providing valid credentials and authenticating them, the next step is to load a project, either by creating a new one or by opening an existing project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Create a new project<\/h1>\n

Select the\u00a0New Project<\/em>\u00a0action under the\u00a0File Menu<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Main Menu Bar<\/strong>\u00a0by clicking the menu item, or pressing the keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Select the ‘New Empty Project’ option and click\u00a0Continue<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/i>Templates<\/h3>\n
\n

By choosing a ‘New Template Project’ you can get an export-ready project. Templates in WakingApp AR Studio are meant to simplify the setup process and have pre-built images, models and scripts.
\nHowever, this tutorial takes you through the entire image-tracking setup process of an empty project to understand the workflow better.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Set the Project tracking type to ‘Image Tracking’ and choose a location to save your project, assign the project’s name and click\u00a0Done<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The directory where you save your project cannot already contain a .waproj file.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Now the project has been created and loaded successfully, and the Editor is ready for work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Import assets<\/h1>\n

Before we can add custom models and use other custom files such as images or sound effects, they must be imported into the Project. First, download the assets to be used here \u00a0<\/a><\/strong>(.zip) or \u00a0here <\/a><\/strong>(folder)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Select the assets to import (multiple files and formats may be selected at once), and click\u00a0Open<\/em>\u00a0to copy these files into the loaded Project\u2019s\u00a0raw<\/em>\u00a0assets directory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Once copied, these assets will be automatically imported into the loaded Project\u2019s\u00a0Compiled<\/em>\u00a0assets directory. After the import operation is complete, the assets may be used in the Project.<\/p>\n

Set a target image<\/h1>\n

Choose an image to be used by this project for tracking by the mobile SDK \/ App. Click on Scene -> Set Target Image.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Drag a model asset to the scene<\/h1>\n

Select a Model asset from the\u00a0Assets View<\/strong>\u00a0and drag it to the\u00a0Scene View<\/strong>\u00a0to add it into the currently loaded Scene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Once the load operation is complete and the Model is added to the Scene, it may be selected and manipulated to create the desired AR Experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Save scene<\/h1>\n

In order to view the created Scene in the application, it has to be saved to the disk as a Scene File:
\nSelect the\u00a0Save Scene<\/em>\u00a0action under the\u00a0File Menu<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Main Menu Bar<\/strong>\u00a0by clicking the menu item, or pressing the keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Choose a name and location to save the Scene File in. If the Scene was already saved before, the changes will be applied without having to specify the Scene File again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Export project<\/h1>\n

In order to view the Project in the application, it has to be exported. In this case, to view the Project via the public WakingApp\u2019s WakingApp AR Studio application, activate the\u00a0Export Project\u2026 -> To Cloud<\/em>\u00a0action under the\u00a0File Menu<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Main Menu Bar<\/strong>\u00a0by clicking the menu item, or pressing the keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Select the scenes to include within the project, as well as the default scene from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/i>Publish project<\/h3>\n
\n

If you choose the option ‘Publish project’, the project will be available in the WakingApp AR Studio application’s\u00a0search feature<\/strong>, otherwise, only a direct link (QR) will be generated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Project will be packaged and uploaded to WakingApp\u2019s Public Publish-Server.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

View in WakingApp Mobile App<\/h1>\n

Once the Upload operation succeeds, a\u00a0QR code<\/strong>\u00a0will be displayed on the screen. Scan this code with the WakingApp AR Studio mobile application to load and view the AR experience you\u2019ve created.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
