PROGRAMME SPECIFICATIONS<\/b><\/p>\n

The Master of Computer Science is offered on a full-time and part-time basis. The full-time and part-time programme is offered only at the UTM Main Campus in Johor Bahru. The duration of study for the full-time programme is subjected to the student\u2019s entry qualifications and lasts between one and half (2) years to a maximum of four (4) years.<\/p>\n

The programme is offered on full-time basis and are based on a 2-Semester per academic session. This is a mixed-mode master programme. Academic load for each semester depends on total number of credits. Students can take a minimum of one course (equivalent to 3-4 credits) up to a maximum of twenty (20 credits) for full-time. Students are required to finish all course works before starting dissertation. Assessment method for academic achievement is the combination of two (2) parts, that is based on GPA\/CGPA and research progress report. The research progress report needs to be submitted by week 12 of the semester through GSMS. Dissertation evaluation is graded based on three categories i.e. satisfactory (MM), Unsatisfactory (TM) and Fail (GG).<\/p>\n

This program is designed for candidates who wish to obtain more knowledge and skills in the area of Computer Science. This program give options to students who wish to choose a program with a minimum number of courses and subsequently conduct research in multi-field computer science specializations which are Data Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering and System & Communication. Students can choose two programme electives from their \u00a0desired Computer Science branch. This program is ideal for those whom intend to become an academician, researcher, computer scientist, systems engineer, network engineer, system analyst, software applications manager, computer statistician and etc. Also, graduates from this program have the necessary background to pursue Computer Science at the Doctor of Philosophy level.<\/p>\n
