Students from UTM’s SECVH programme won 2nd place and the Best Audio Award at the KL20 Game Jam, a 36-hour hackathon that tested their technical and creative skills. The team of students and CGMA members demonstrated their ability to work under pressure and develop practical solutions within a limited time. Their achievement showcases the practical application of UTM’s academic curriculum and prepares them for Malaysia’s growing digital content and game development industry.

The Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) honored its outstanding i-Kohza research groups at the Malaysia-Japan Industrial and Innovation Expo 2026 (MJIIX 2026). The Wellness Innovation Technology (WIT) group received the i-Kohza Excellence Award (Grand Award), while Engineering Materials and Structures (eMAST) and Perception, Robotic & Automation (PRA) received 1st and 2nd Runner-Up distinctions, respectively. The awards recognized the groups’ achievements in research, innovation, and collaboration.
