Our team member experiencing the demo of actual digital solution/use-case which simplify industrial tasks by utilizing the MR HMD device.

During our visit on 23 February 2023, our team are able to experience product presented on the booth provided. One of the interesting booths we visit there is by XR Associates where they showcased the head-mounted display (HMD). As the spokesperson gave an overview on why this technology is rapidly gaining popularity in a plethora of industries, we had hands-on access to some fantastic products of HMD such as Hololens and Oculus Quest 2 — allowing us to explore first-hand how these devices could be used by businesses.

The spokesperson explaining to our team on the MR technology which can be enabled using Hololens device.

MR technology allow user to view 3D virtual objects as if it is positioned in real environment.

In addition to MR, Metaverse is another interesting technology that is gaining traction as devices become increasingly advanced. With Metaverse, users can interact with each other in a virtual world and explore an immersive environment that feels real. In layman words, Metaverse allows us to interact with 3D or real objects, within a shared space where humans experience life in ways they could not in the physical world. In the metaverse, users navigate a virtual world that duplicates feature of the physical world using virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), social media, with digital currency.

Lastly, the possibilities of what could be done with this technology are endless. From medical training simulations to virtual tours of historic sites, even for industrial training, there is no limit to what can be achieved. With the increasing advancement of devices, we are entering an era where the boundaries between reality and virtuality are becoming increasingly blurred. It’s an exciting time for tech enthusiasts and those looking to explore new worlds.
