Kuala Lumpur, 2 January 2026 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through the Faculty of Computing (FC) and the Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer (PERSAKA), successfully organised an industrial visit under the programme TechScope’25 to Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. at Integra Tower, Kuala Lumpur. The programme involved 37 Faculty of Computing students. The program aimed to provide them with direct exposure to real-world industry practices and emerging technologies within a global technology company. The team was accompanied by Dr Muhammad Zafran bin Muhammad Zaly Shah, serving as the PERSAKA advisor.

During the visit, participants were welcomed by Mr Anson Chia Ji Han and his team from Huawei. They first attended an introduction session about Huawei Technologies, followed by a guided Huawei Customer Solution Innovation Center (CSIC) tour that showcased network infrastructure, 5G technology, and digital solutions supporting modern data centres. The session also highlighted Huawei’s innovations in power and energy, including sustainable and green technologies that contribute to environmental sustainability.

The programme was further enriched by an alumni sharing session led by UTM alumnus Nur Aini Wahidah binti Razali, currently a Network Design Engineer at Huawei Technologies. She provided participants with practical career insights and advice on professional development. Key messages emphasised the importance of a positive attitude, reliability, and proactive learning as essential qualities for success in the technology industry. Participants were also briefed on career opportunities at Huawei Technologies, including skills development pathways, professional certifications, and participation in industry competitions.
