Meet General University Requirements as well as SPECIAL PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS

Possess a Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Information Systems from UTM/ IPT/ Equivalent with at least a CGPA of 3.00;

Possess a Diploma in Science and Technology with at least a CGPA of 3.00.

and

Obtain at least Grade B- at the Diploma level in one of the Mathematics subjects.

and

Obtain at least Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting Session 1 2021 or Band 2 for examinations up to the year 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

Note:

Candidates are required to upload complete examination results during the Diploma (from the first semester to the final semester) and a copy of the Diploma or letter of completion of studies via the UPU online system.
The year of entry and actual duration of study are subject to credit exemptions approved by UTM.

CAREER PROSPECT

Graduate of the programme can work as a Analyst/Programmer, Software Engineer, System Analyst, System Developer, Software Tester, Software Architect Engineer, Web Developer, Assistant Project Manager, Academician and Researcher.

Alternatively, the graduate of the programme can also enrol to any of the postgraduate programmes offered in UTM and worldwide by any mode either research or mixed-mode or taught course.

To graduate, students must

Achieve a total of 128 credit hours with minimum CPA of 2.0
Pass industrial training (equivalent to 12 credit hours), which 4 credits will be graded and 8 credits as HW (Compulsory Attendance) status.
Complete Computer Science Final Year Projects
Pass 5 Professional Skills Certificate (PSC).
