The Bachelor of Data Science in Intelligent Analytics with Honours is a newly revised programme developed from the former Bachelor of Computer Science (Bioinformatics) with Honours. This exciting transformation introduces a broader and more flexible learning experience that reflects the growing importance of data, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. You will develop highly sought after skills in data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing. More than simply ecommerceith numbers, you will learn how to transform complex information into smart insights and meaningful solutions across fields such as healthcare, finance, smart agriculture, ecommerce and digital services.
Although the revised programme highlights a new direction in Data Science and Intelligent Analytics, students who are passionate about Bioinformatics can still explore the field through a selection of elective courses. Your learning journey will also extend beyond lectures through practical projects, industry placements, collaborative activities and real world challenges. Whether you dream of becoming a data scientist, data analyst, data engineer, business intelligence analyst or AI specialist, this programme offers the knowledge and flexibility to shape a future that matches your interests. To graduate, students must
- Achieve a total of 124 credit hours with minimum CPA of 2.0
- Pass industrial training (equivalent to 12 credit hours), which 4 credits will be graded and 8 credits as HW (Compulsory Attendance) status.
- Complete Data Science Final Year Projects
- Pass 5 Professional Skills Certificate (PSC).
