KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 1—The UTM Alumni Grand Homecoming 2025 was successfully held on 1st November 2025 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur, bringing together alumni from various generations in a grand celebration of achievements, solidarity, and institutional pride. Organized by UTM Alumni in collaboration with the UTM Alumni Society, the event commenced at 7.30 pm with the arrival of invited guests, followed by the arrival of YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohd Shafry bin Mohd Rahim, Vice-Chancellor of UTM; YBhg. Tan Sri Azman bin Hj. Mokhtar, Chairman of the UTM Board of Directors; and YBhg. Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Datuk Ir. Dr. Mohd Zulkifli bin Mohd. Ghazali, Pro-Chancellor of UTM.
The evening featured an opening dance and video presentation, welcoming remarks by the Vice-Chancellor, and an officiating speech by the Pro-Chancellor alongside the programme’s introductory video. Guests enjoyed dinner and performances before witnessing the launch of the UTMAlumni Application and the Alumni Empowerment Blueprint 2025–2030, followed by cheque presentation ceremonies, and the unveiling of ALx X UTMAlumni merchandise.
A major highlight of the night was the Tokoh Alumni Awards, which honoured outstanding alumni in leadership, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, sports, community service, global branding, and special alumni contributions. The Faculty of Computing congratulates Mr. Muhammad Arif Tukiman, CEO & Co-founder of RunCloud International Bhd., who won the UTM Alumni Entrepreneurship Award. Nominated by the Faculty, Mr. Arif is an alumnus of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Graphic and Multimedia Software) Class of 2014 and Master of IT Entrepreneurship Class of 2016. He was represented by the Co-founder, Mr. Amir Fazwan Osman during the award presentation. The grand dinner welcomed approximately 1000 alumni and guests, including 18 alumni from the Faculty of Computing. The faculty delegation was led by the Dean, Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Mohd Nasir Wan Kadir, accompanied by Ts. Dr. Mohd Iqbal Tariq Idris, External and Global Relations Manager, and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Shahida Sulaiman, Alumni Manager. The memorable evening concluded with a final performance, the singing of Lagu Keunggulan Terbilang, and adjournment at 10.30 pm.
