From July 18 to 20, the 6th International Conference on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering (ICBASE 2025) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), organized by the Faculty of Computing, UTM, co-organized by Universitas Indonesia and Wenzhou Polytechnic, and technically supported by AiScholar.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the conference chair, Professor Siti Zaiton Mohd Hashim from UTM. Professor Ali Selamat, Vice Chancellor of UTM, delivered the opening speech. He warmly welcomed scholars from around the world to Kuala Lumpur, emphasized how artificial intelligence and big data technologies are reshaping the future of industries, and called for breakthrough innovations through international cooperation to tackle global challenges. He especially thanked partners from Indonesia and China, as well as technical support providers, for their strong contributions to the conference.

During the keynote sessions, Professor Yang Liang from Hunan University, Professor Wan Mohd Nasir Wan Kadir (Dean, Faculty of Computing, UTM), Professor Mohd Naz’ri Mahrin (Dean, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, UTM), Professor Por Lip Yee from University of Malaya, and Researcher Zhu Linchao from Zhejiang University delivered keynote speeches. Their presentations covered topics such as 6G network architectures, AI-driven software engineering transformation, human-centric intelligence paradigms, breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies, and diffusion model-based video generation. These talks not only shed light on technological evolution paths but also provided essential theoretical support for building a secure and controllable digital ecosystem.

Keynote Presentations at the Conference
The conference fostered a strong academic exchange atmosphere. Oral presentations were conducted both onsite and online, where 23 scholars from universities, research institutes, and industries around the world shared their latest research findings. The conference also presented awards for Best Paper, Best Young Scholar Presentation, and Best Poster, encouraging young scholars to delve into research. Many of the young participants expressed that the conference facilitated information exchange, enhanced academic networking, stimulated innovative thinking, deepened their understanding of the industry, and inspired new research ideas. They expressed intent to further pursue research in big data, AI, and software engineering.

The organizers stated that the successful hosting of ICBASE 2025 fully showcased the achievements and frontier technologies in the field of computer and information sciences. It facilitated the exchange and collision of academic ideas. They look forward to gathering more outstanding scholars, experts, and young talents to join hands in driving innovation in computer and information sciences, contributing to technological advancement and industrial upgrading.
