EY Campus Tour @ FC

13 May 2026 – Faculty of Computing (FC) successfully hosted the EY Campus Engagement Session on 13 May 2026 at Hyflex Classroom, Faculty of Computing. The session brought together students, particularly from the Business Intelligence class, for an insightful sharing by representatives from Ernst & Young (EY), one of the world’s leading professional services firms in accounting, assurance, tax, strategy, and consulting. Through the session, students were introduced to EY’s work, career pathways, and the growing relevance of data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence skills in today’s professional landscape.

One of the key highlights of the programme was the sharing session by Ms. Siti Faralisa Sophia Afandi, an FC alumnus who is currently working with EY as a Senior Associate. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) programme at UTM, she shared her career journey, experiences in technology consulting, and involvement in impactful industry projects. Her sharing offered students a relatable perspective on how computing knowledge and technical skills can be applied in real-world consulting and digital transformation projects.

In addition to the talk, an EY booth was also set up to engage with students from various programmes. This provided an opportunity for students to learn more about internship and graduate opportunities, ask questions directly to the EY team, and gain better exposure to industry expectations.

The Faculty of Computing extends its sincere appreciation to the EY team for their valuable sharing and continued effort in engaging with university students. The faculty also looks forward to more meaningful collaborations with industry partners to support students’ career readiness, professional development, and exposure to future career pathways.
